Inspired by the artist's poem:
Oh jealous heart.
What have I done? Where have I gone?
Stop. I face you. I thank you.
Thank you for revealing my desires.
My truth.
Not her, not hers, but mine.
One of nine portraits, this was painted with a mission to explore the power of the feminine. Each flower honoring its historic meaning in the garden. Each woman embodying our moment, our time, our future.
The word geranium means crane, referring to its long stem.
The cranesbill ballerina geranium is resilient and has the ability to grow anywhere. They fill gaps between other plants in the garden with great style. Appearing in Early May and going until Autumn. In Victorian Flower language, the particular geranium in purple, represents envy.
